Theas House Banff
Your Banff Home
Away from Home!!!
Theas House Banff is home to Greg & Jamie Christou. They really love the area and feel so lucky to live in this spectacular part of the world. Sharing their love of the Canadian Rockies is their goal with those who come to stay.
Jami looks after the running the bed and breakfast. Greg assists, however in addition, he also owns and operates Cascade T-Shirts in downtown Banff. So they are very familar with the Banff area.
'Lula' is the owners dog. She's a whippet who is very well behaved, quiet, and loves people. She resides in a part of their home which is separate from all guest areas.
The story behind the name of Theas House Banff B & B, is that 'Thea' means aunt in Greek.
This home was originally owned by Greg's great uncle and aunt who immigrated from Greece. Aunt Georgia's last wish was to have her home kept in the family.
So to honor her and pass on her generous hospitality, they opened Theas House Banff for business in April of 1998.
The original house was a one level bungalow, built in 1952. Major renovations were done. The roof was removed and a second floor added. They also built the front entrance and guest lounge keeping the look as close to the original design as possible.
Rooms and Amentities at Theas House Banff
There are two rooms....Norquay Room and the Edith Room. Guests will find that each room has its own distinct decorating and layout style.
When Thea's House was being constructed, Jami & Greg kept in mind the visitor's desire for privacy and comfort.
They have made the main floor completely separate from the owners part of the home. This is for the enjoyment of their guests.
The front door is your private entrance to the house, and you will then find your guest room accommodation located on the second floor.

More Reviews from Visitors of Theas House Banff....
Breakfast is taken in the dining room with tables for 2. There is lots provided especially freshly prepared fruit and one hot dish freshly cooked for you each morning (you say the previous evening the time you will require breakfast)
Thea's House is just a very short walk from the centre of Banff and you have a parking space provided. Jami is a lovely host, considerate to her guests needs and very friendly whilst still allowing you lots of privacy if that's what you prefer. Highly recommend you stay here for the lovely peace and quiet if you are visiting Banff.
My husband, brother, sister in law and myself recently had the out most pleasure of staying 2 weeks at Thea's House Bed & Breakfast. Hosts Jamie & Greg Christou.
We had such a relaxing time and were made to feel completely comfortable with them in their beautiful home. The breakfast meals were amazing and creative and the whole entire house, along with our beautiful rooms were spotless every day.
Special touches were put in our rooms each day, such as chocolates on our pillows, fresh slippers and robes, bath salts on our towels to make us feel relaxed.
We would highly recommend Thea's House to anyone traveling to Banff, Canada and will certainly look forward to staying there again in our future.

We stayed at Theas House for three nights during our tour of western Canada.
This is a smashing B&B and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay in Banff. The room we had was very well furnished and the bathroom with steam shower etc was superb.
The breakfast were great and always far too much for us to eat. Our hostess Jami was excellent and informative but not obtrusive in the least.
The house is less than five minutes walk to the centre wich has many fine shops and restraunts. If your heading for Banff and want a superb place to stay then head here. A gem of a find.
Thea's House is centrally located within the town of Banff.
We are situated in a residential area, with the main street of Banff (Banff Avenue) being just three short blocks down the street.
The majority of dining, shopping, and attractions that will be of interest to you, are only a five to ten minute walk away.
At Theas House Banff you can also book your accommodations with a ski package so check their website below for pricing.
Jami & Greg have first hand knowledge of the area. No question it too much to ask....
