Mountain Home B & B Reviews...
Great location. Only a 2 minute walk from downtown Banff yet a very quiet location.
Great food including light, fluffy waffles, muffins still hot from the oven and good coffee.
And I can't get the spiced pear jam out of my mind. Owner was full of helpful info info about the region and recommended a great little restaurant. I'll be back again next time I visit Banff.
We loved our stay at Mountain Home. The location is so quiet but just a few blocks off the main Banff shopping street. We stayed in the Buffalo Room--a comfy king-sized bed, spotless bathroom with steam enclosure shower, and space for all our luggage without tripping over it.
Breakfast was homemade muffins with various homemade preserves, cereals, fresh fruit mix, yogurt, and the lightest waffles I’ve ever had. My husband usually doesn’t eat waffles or pancakes, but he had three helpings of these with the blueberry sauce and real maple syrup.
Best of all was our hostess, Lynn. She is welcoming and knows so much about the area for sightseeing and shopping. She pointed out the best areas for finding the elk herds—and we did! Her suggestions about where to eat out were absolutely right on. We’ll definitely be seeing her again when we visit Banff.
See those amazing mountains, enjoy world class downtown Banff. An excellent home base for sightseeing in Banff, Lake Louise or Yoho National Park. It's only a 2 minute walk to unique shops and fabulous restaurants!!
