Glide along heavenly cross-country ski paths in our mountain wilderness. You'll discover several well-groomed trails just outside the doors of The Chateau Lake Louise. Rental equipment is available from the Chateau Mountain Sports Shop in the hotel, and lessons are offered at the Chateau's lakeside Nordic Stop.
For those who crave extreme adventure, there are local companies which can arrange a day of heli-skiing on glacier slopes that you'll never forget.
You'll be taken to some of the most majestic peaks in the Rockies where a mountain guide will lead you on three descents. You'll be treated to a picnic-style lunch on the mountain and cap off the day with a souvenir pin and certificate.
Reservations are required and can be arranged through the Concierge.
With several accommodation options available only minutes from the resort, this ski resort offers something for everyone's taste and budget. A regular shuttle service is available from the village area to the resort.
The Lake Louise Ski Resort has four mountain faces add up to at total of 4200 acres of skiable terrain.
Guess what.....there's a beginner run from the top of every chair. You'll love it...skiing for every type of skier. Don't miss the Powder Bowls located on the backside of the mountain.
They offer wide open skiing in a huge 2500-acre area and feature some of the steepest pitches in the Rockies.

The Lake Louise Ski Resort offers a licensed daycare. The staff members are caring, alert, and love working with children. They are located next to the Lodge of Ten Peaks in a separate building.
Here you'll find lots of nice kids to play with – fun things to do like playdough - Barbies - music - puzzles - colouring – painting - AND MAYBE - go skiing with those funny people in red ski suits - your instructor!!!
