With Emerald Lake Lodge... You begin your romantic weekend getaway - guess what????

No television in your room, only a roaring fire to set the mood. The first thing you'll notice is the quiet!!! As you take in the view from your balcony.... you'll see why it's call Emerald Lake.

The turquoise green color of the lake is stunning. This is definitely one of Canada's romantic travel destinations. Emerald Lake Lodge was voted in the Top 2 resorts in Canada by 25,000 Conde Nast readers worldwide....quite an achievement...it's on the list of luxury vacations....could this destination be a marriage proposal idea???

Emerald Lake Lodge
Legendary guide Tom Wilson first discovered Emerald Lake in 1882 during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The CPR built the original guest lodge in 1902. By the mid-1920s the lodge had been expanded and road improvements made it possible to reach the resort by car.

The Canadian Government has permitted no additional development in the area. It remains one of Canada's most outstanding year-round accessible wilderness settings.

Following extensive renovations in 1986, Emerald Lake Lodge re-opened as an exclusive year-round vacation and business destination. Sounds like a romantic travel destination to me!

The Lodge was built of hand crafted timber. It's got a great West Coast feel to it. There are massive stone fireplaces and a formal dining room. For those avid readers... a quiet sitting room. In the games room a huge billiard table.

The Kicking Horse Lounge is a great spot for a glass of wine by the oak bar. It was salvaged from an 1890's Yukon saloon.

The views from upper or lower large verandas, are always fresh and breath-taking. Emerald Lake proudly welcomes those in search of the extraordinary. It's a true escape from our hectic schedules...

Emerald Lake Lodge is happy to offer a limited number of "pet friendly"lodgings. Additional charges apply.
